Academic Programmes

RGUKT offers a six-year integrated course after 10th class examination leading to a B.Tech. degree. The program consists of two parts:

• First Part: Two-year Pre-University Course (equivalent to Telangana Intermediate)
• Second Part: Four-year Engineering Course

The specialization tracks cover Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences (equivalent to MPC + BiPC). By bringing students into the University at an earlier stage, RGUKT imparts a broad-based education including humanities and liberal arts.

B.Tech. Degree Programmes

Upon completion of 6 years of education (each year consisting of 2 semesters) and prescribed requirements, graduates are awarded a B.Tech. degree in one of the following disciplines:

1. Chemical Engineering
2. Civil Engineering
3. Computer Science and Engineering
4. Electrical Engineering
5. Electronics & Communications Engineering
6. Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering
7. Mechanical Engineering

RGUKT offers M.Tech. degrees in the following specializations:

1. Computer Science & Engineering
2. Electronics & Communication Engineering
3. Computational Mechanics in Mechanical Engineering

The M.Tech. programme incorporates advanced computing techniques and tools designed for individuals pursuing teaching or research careers in computational engineering and sciences, with curricula comparable to international standards.

As a government sponsored university, the tuition fees at RGUKT are highly subsidized by the Telangana Government. The annual fee (for TS students) for the first two years (Pre University programme) is Rs. 36,000/-. This includes tuition, lodging and boarding.
