Prof. A. Govardhan is a Senior Professor of Computer Science & Engineering with 30 years of teaching and research experience. He has served in and held several academic and administrative positions including Rector, JNTU Hyderabad; Registrar I/c, JNTUH; Principal (JNTUH CEH, JNTUH CEJ); Director, School of Information Technology, JNTUH; Director of Evaluation; Nodal Officer (JNTUH CER); Head, Dept. of CSE, JNTUH CEH; and Chairman & Member on Boards of Studies of various State & Central Universities.
He did his 10th standard from Z.P.H.S. Choutuppal, B.E. (CSE) from Osmania University, M.Tech from JNU New Delhi, Ph.D from JNTU Hyderabad, and Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership from EMERITUS Singapore (a collaborative programme of Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth, Columbia Business School Executive Education and MIT Management Executive Education).
- Published 555 research papers in international/national journals and conferences including IEEE, ACM, Springer, Elsevier, IGI Global, Taylor & Francis and InderScience.
- Guided 103 Ph.D theses, 1 M.Phil and 140 M.Tech projects.
- Google Scholar citations: 5,333; h-index: 31; i10-index: 107.
- Editor for 10 books/proceedings including Springer; 3 Monographs; 10 Book Chapters.
- Has research projects (completed) worth Rs. 61.58 Lakhs; Project Director during TEQIP-II and TEQIP-III including a Centre of Excellence in Disaster Management (Total: Rs. 22 Crores).
- Areas of research: Databases, Data Science, Security, Information Retrieval Systems and Educational Leadership.
Recipient of 45 International/National Awards and Merit Scholarships, including:
- Convener for TS EAMCET-2022, TS EAMCET-2021, TS EAMCET-2020, TS ECET-2019, TS ECET-2018, TS ECET-2017.
- Served as General Chair/Honorary Chair/Program Chair for 7 International Conferences.
- Delivered more than 150 Keynote speeches/invited lectures on topics including Data Science, Cyber Security, Research Methodologies, NEP-2020 and Leadership Skills.
- Member on Advisory/Academic Boards/Technical Program Committees for 100+ International/National Conferences.
- Member on Editorial Boards for twelve International Journals.
